Not withdrawing from the market was a good idea. Not withdrawing from the market was a good idea. Not withdrawing from the market was a good idea....
This is cyclical. This is cyclical. This is cyclical...

I don't need this money for 30 years. I don't need this money for 30 years. I don't need this money for 30 years...
A peek into my thoughts right now

I truly believe something will be reached. There was agreement right before the vote. Yeas 67% of republicans didn't vote for it. But also almost 40% of democrats didn't vote for it either. Going into the vote today there were reluctant republicans who were going to vote for it even when they opposed it.
There are parts of the bill where profits from the bailout would go to groups such as ACORN which the republicans view as an inefficient organization with strong ties to the DNC.
But in the end, Nancy Pelosi gave a very negative speech regarding the Bush administration and praising the Clinton years. This caused those republicans to vote against the bill.
Hopefully, congress will look at this as an opportunity to pass a bill that has more support on both sides.

But anyways, don't worry about today. Please don't let one day scare you away. As merch pointed out, it was the result of not getting the bailout voted through. The market sprang into a panic frenzy. But believe it or not, the market has been through much worse than this, and we're all still here. These are trying times of course, but it's not the end of the world.
