Great weekend

February 22nd, 2010 at 04:16 pm

Had a fabulous weekend. BB left last week for Spring Training and this was my first weekend alone. It was glorious! My time was truly all mine- I ate what I wanted, I slept and woke up when I felt like it, and I did whatever I wanted, when I wanted.

I bought a Camellia tree to plant in the front yard. For those that dont know- it blooms in the winter and has large beautiful flowers that almost look like Roses. They are in bloom all around Savannah and I wanted one of my own. Now I have it!

I went for a leisure walk with the dog Saturday in the georgous mid 60's weather. The walk was so enjoyable we went for another Sunday morning and another Sunday evening! I love walking downtown on Sundays hearing all the church bells ringing.

I went out with friends Friday night and we stayed out till 3:30 in the morning! It's been a long time since I have been out that late. It was nice not worrying about BB at home and knowing he was going to stay up to wait for me, or get me up early in the morning.

It was a beautiful weekend. I hope everyone else enjoyed theirs as well.

we have three of those trees next to our garage. they are beautiful, except that whenever I pick them to put in a vase, the petals all fall off straight away Frown
glad to hear you are enjoying your time alone. i think it is nice that couples enjoy their time together as well as their time apart. df and I are hardly ever apart but it is not a big deal when it happens (when i visit my dad or he goes away for work) and we do the things that we normally put off when we are together. usually, like you, it involves going out until the early morning for both of us (with friends that we usually don't hang around that often when we are together - not that either of us have a problem with the others friends, its just that it never seems to happen that way when it's the two of us... strange that it happens like that), and for me i seem to get a lot more exercise in. I love camillas. I heard from somewhere and from somebody that they took the bright red camilla petals and used them to dye easter eggs.
Whenever DH leaves its time for the anchovy, mushroom, olive, green pepper pizza.
