I heart the Red Sox

July 31st, 2008 at 10:28 pm

Manny Ramirez is going to the Dodgers. As a Boston Fan I am glad to see him go. He has talent, but it's not worth the money he was making. And if you dont appreciate Fenway and the prestige associated with the Red Sox then go. Give the position to someone who will work for half the pay as hard as they can just to keep their lucky stars in line.
I think Manny will fit in less with the Dodgers than he did with the Red Sox. Constant complainer, that one. Glad he is someone elses headache.

Thats my piece. It's not financial related but I got nothin. I am in the middle of a No Spend Day and tomorrow I get to start tracking expenses.

I'm with you. So long Manny. Every year the same thing .. trade me trade me trade me. Well, good bye. Don't let the door on the green monster hit you on the ass.

Only bad part, Moss went too. Hansen was ok ... but we got enough pitchers.

Oh by the by, my son was born down the street from fenway and we get a free tour of Fenway when he turns 5. As you know Boston is a baseball town first.

Also, I had a condo in Brookline about .5 miles from Fenway. Got to love Fenway. A-Rod comes up to bat and every one is wearing blonde masks (the stripper he was dating). Another cheer, Clemens was pitching against Pedro and just got pummled. He was gone after like 2 innings. The cheer? One side of the park yelled "Where is Roger?" The other side replied "In the shower"

And as you know, it's always sold out. And yankee games are always like playoff games.

    GO BoSOX!!!!!

Yes, For some reason, many people's favorite pro baseball memories are made in Fenway. The fans go above and beyond what it takes to be loyal! Thats why I dont like Manny's disrespect. It is a privlege to be a Red Sox! Memories created there are unmatched. The players need to respect the support of the fans. Without the fans...the Red Sox would be nothing.

The LA Dodgers can't find Manny .. lol. This is from the LA Times:

They are counting on him to carry them into October and beyond.

Just as soon as they can find him.

Three hours after the trade, Ned Colletti, Dodger general manager, was asked whether he had spoken to Ramirez.

"I left him a message," said Colletti.

Four hours after the trade, Dodger Manager Joe Torre was asked whether he had spoken to Ramirez.

"I left him a message," said Torre.
