ugh. I just did to my body the equivelent of lighting a hundred dollars on fire.

I just ate a quarter of a cookie dough log. Ugh. I love cookie dough but swore it off about 2 yrs ago when I ate a whole log in the span of 3 days and within a day after that I had gained nearly 3 lbs! I am a small girl so that 3 lbs had a noticable effect on me.

I have no idea what caused me to suddenly drive to the grocery store today and buy a cookie dough log. After 2 yrs of good behavior and discipline. And of course, I must eat the rest so it does not go to waste.

*sigh* I guess this secret eating junk food compulsion is another side effect of the road trip. I would never have done this if Baseball boy was around.

I see budgeting and eating right as a complimentary discipline. Both are hard to do, but if done properly, the effects are noticable and worthwhile. And I just fell off the wagon.

That's okay. Just get back on and move on!

I will. but can I eat the rest before getting back on the wagon or should I throw it out? Oh what to do, what to do.

Could you cut it into sections and freeze them? Then, you can splurge a little bit each time he goes on a trip.

Why must you eat the rest? Smile Bake the rest. It sounds like baking it makes it less appealing, so that will slow you down. And if you have kid friends, they can make the cookies go away.

I've been in your situation before! I used to attend Weight Watchers meetings, where they said it was better for a a "temptation" food to go to waste than to your waist. Smile If it were me, I would either throw it away, or bake the rest into cookies and give them away. Good luck!

Well Iwent to the gym at 12:30 last night to run cardio for 15 min. Thats how "ugh" I felt about the whole fiasco. What will I do with the rest of the log? Well, I was in denial about how much I really ate. It was more like 1/2 the log on the first time. And a good chunk of it was consumed this morning. However, my craving was satisfied and I no longer want the stuff. Smile

Ooh, I like the freezing idea. The problem with the big logs is that "one more spoonful" doesn't make a dent in them, so you take "one more spoonful". But if you put them in bite sized chunks in their own little square of saran wrap, you might just be able to eat only one.
